In 2008, the National Dairy Council partnered with the NFL to launch Fuel Up to Play 60, an unprecedented in-school nutrition and fitness program.  Today, with the involvement of supporting organizations, Fuel Up to Play 60 reaches 36 million kids in 60,000+ schools!                                                                                                

On March 16, Newsweek hosted an Executive Forum on Childhood Obesity in Washington, DC, bringing together leading national stakeholders in the childhood obesity issue.  Fuel Up to Play 60 was highlighted at the forum as a program that involves kids directly in improving nutrition and physical activity in their schools.  The distinguished list of attendees included former President Bill Clinton, Dr. David Satcher, the 16th U.S. Surgeon General, U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack and other influential individuals.

In addition to the forum, Newsweek’s March 22, 2010 issue focusing on child obesity features Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move campaign and several Fuel Up to Play 60 ads , highlighting key supporting health and nutrition organizations of Fuel Up to Play 60, including:
